Many people Itch their skin at night. What's the problem?

The condition characterized by itching of your skin at night is known as nocturnal pruritus. Despite the fact it poses threat to ability to sleep and makes people feel uncomfortable, sadly many people have probably paid little or no attention to the condition.

Itching at nights might to be an indication of more severe unhealthy conditions such as skin cancer, anemia, micro-organism infection, etc. It's important to know why you feel like itching your skin at night so as to know the possible treatment for it before it escalates. 

What  are the possible causes of Noctural Pruritus?

Allergy
It is possible that your skin is allergic to certain creams or deodorants which have direct access to your skin.

Hormonal Changes in PREGNANCY  And  MENOPAUSE:
Changes in the level of estrogen hormone in during pregnancy and onset of menopause may result in itchy skin and skin dryness.

Stress:
The body naturally may respond to stress by releasing chemicals which may adversely result in itching of  your skin in the night.

Chicken  pox:
Contacting Varicella Zoster virus may result in skin rashes and itching of your skin in the night.

Medication:
Certain medications such as narcotics, antibiotics, etc, may cause itching of your skin at night.

Insect bite:
certain insects such as flies and lice may inflict stubborn itching of your skin at night if they get hold of your skin.

Effect of  circadian rhythm:
because the body constantly regulates the level of hormones, chemicals and substances in the body via the biological clock or the circadian rhythm, changes in ambient and core temperature of the skin may result in itching of your skin in the night.
